Nayanthara gets ready for her 75th feature film alongside 'Baahubali' star Sathyaraj

Vignesh and Nayanthara tied the knot on June 9 at Mahabalipuram. The grand wedding celebration was a private affair as the couple exchanged the wedding vows in the presence of their close family and friends.

For the nuptials, Nayanthara dazzled in a handcrafted red sari from Jade by Monica and Karishma. Her outfit had the fourth wedding vow, 'togetherness, commitment and mutual respect’, weaved into her ensemble with the couple’s names. Shivan opted for a silk kurta and veshti with the shawl which mentioned the four vows of 'Dharma, Arth, Kama and Moksha'.

Superstar Rajnikanth attended the couple's wedding. Shivan said that the 'Robot' star's presence filled their special day with positivity and good will.

Rajinikanth was accompanied by 'Roja' director Mani Ratnam. The industry veterans, who collaborated for the 1991 film 'Thalapathi', blessed the newlyweds and gave them gifts on their special day.

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan attended the couple's grand celebration and spent some quality time with his co-star. Nayanthara is set to make her Bollywood debut opposite SRK in Atlee-directorial 'Jawan'. The pan-India film, which will be released on June 2, 2023, will be available in five languages - Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.

The couple's wedding saw a lot of high-profile guests. 'Vikram' star Vijay Sethupathi, along with his wife Jessy and children Surya & Shreeja, and actor Suriya Sivakumar with his actress-wife Jyotika also attended the wedding ceremony. The couples posed for happy pictures with the newlyweds.

AR Rahman attended the wedding with his son AR Ameen. The father-son duo coordinated in green and blue kurtas with embriodery around the neck. In his social media post, Shivan called the music composer 'the most divine, purest human being'.

The grand ceremony was also attended by song composer Anirudh, who has given music to films like 'Vikram', 'Beast', 'Master', 'RRR, and 'Maari, among others. "Without your music, this wouldn’t have been possible," said Shivan in his Instagram post.

Film-maker SJ Suryah, 'Jawan' director Atlee, Sethupathi, SRK and Anirudh had a blast at the wedding with the newlyweds. The gang of boys clicked several pictures with the couple on the special day.
