The scene opens up with a man attending a call on the phone as he walks into a huge office. Then, the audience sees a woman standing in the hall as she goes through some files. She is dressed in a cotton saree with spectacles resting on her nose. The man asks her that the President of the US wanted to know if they could call her "Madam". After that moment, we get to see Kangana Ranaut as Indira Gandhi. The camera angle moves, and the actress' looks are unrecognizable. She looks like a mirror image of Indira Gandhi.

The credit for this exceptional look goes to prosthetic makeup. Kangana said she hired world-famous prosthetics makeup artist David Malinowski, especially for the film. Malinowski is an award-winning makeup artist and got the Oscar for Best Makeup and Hairstyling for the 2017 film Darkest Hours. He has also worked on the film sets of Batman and World War Z.
