Ravi Teja’s latest Telugu film Irumudi is now heading to the digital space after completing a successful theatrical run. Directed by Shiva Nirvana, the film combines action and family emotions with a story centred on a protective father and his daughter. The movie has also managed to attract strong attention at the box office, making its digital premiere one of the most awaited updates for Ravi Teja fans.

Irumudi OTT release date confirmed

Irumudi will premiere on Netflix on September 18, 2026. The streaming platform has confirmed the date through its catalogue. The film will be available in multiple language versions, allowing audiences beyond the original Telugu-speaking market to watch it online.

The OTT release comes after the film reportedly crossed Rs 200 crore worldwide during its theatrical run. With Ravi Teja leading the cast and Shiva Nirvana at the helm, the movie has been among the notable Telugu releases of the year.


For viewers who missed Irumudi in theatres, Netflix will now provide an opportunity to watch the film from home. The multi-language availability is also expected to help the movie reach a wider audience across India.

What is Irumudi about?

Irumudi follows Trinadh Rama Kasu, played by Ravi Teja, a family man who lives in Polluru with his wife Kaveri and daughter Manikanta. Trinadh is shown as a protective father who does not stay silent when he sees girls being mistreated.

However, his friend Goparaju takes a different approach. He believes that certain issues should be kept within families to protect their reputation and honour. This difference in their thinking becomes important as the story moves forward.

The situation becomes more serious when Manikanta notices unusual behaviour in her friend Gayathri after she starts attending special classes. Curious about what is happening, Manikanta begins looking into the matter herself.

Her investigation leads her to a disturbing discovery involving teacher Dhanalakshmi and Bujji Raju. The two are accused of exploiting and intimidating schoolgirls who try to speak about what they are facing.

The story takes a major turn when Manikanta suddenly disappears. Trinadh is left searching for answers and eventually comes across an audio message that his daughter had secretly recorded. The recording gives him clues about what happened and pushes him to investigate further. His search exposes the people behind the incidents, while also revealing Goparaju’s involvement in attempts to silence the girls.

Ravi Teja's Irumudi cast and upcoming films

Alongside Ravi Teja, Irumudi stars Priya Bhavani Shankar, Baby Nakshathra, Sai Kumar, Ajay Ghosh, Swasika, Laxman Meesala, Surabhi Prabhavathi, Jabardasth Komaram, Ramesh Indira, Sam and Praneetha Dev, among others.

Shiva Nirvana has written and directed the film, while Naveen Yerneni and Ravi Shankar produced it under the banner of Mythri Movie Makers. GV Prakash Kumar composed the music, with Vishnu Sarma handling cinematography and Prawin Pudi serving as editor.

Meanwhile, Ravi Teja already has several projects lined up. The actor is set to work with director Hasith Goli on a new entertainer produced by Dil Raju and Sirish under Sri Venkateswara Creations. The film is reportedly being planned for a Sankranti 2027 release.

Ravi Teja is also expected to collaborate with Vivek Athreya, known for directing Saripodhaa Sanivaaram, on a horror film. For now, however, Irumudi fans can look forward to watching the Ravi Teja-starrer on Netflix from September 18.
