Huami to bring Amazfit T-Rex with 12 military certifications in mid-June

The smartwatch will come with a rugged body and AMOLED display.

NEW DELHI: Huami Corporation, best known for its Amazfit brand of devices, is all set to up its game in the smart wearable technology market.

The Xiaomi-backed tech start-up plans to launch the Amazfit T-Rex smartwatch in India in mid-June this year.

The smartwatch was launched in 2020 Consumer Electronics Show which took place in Las Vegas in the month of January, right before the world quarantined itself due to the coronavirus outbreak.


In a statement, the biometric and activity data-driven company said that the powerful wearable device has passed 12 regulations of military standard - MIL-STD-810.

Amazfit TREX
Huami claims that Amazfit T-Rex can survive for two hours under rapid temperature change from 40 to 70 degree Celsius.

To make life easy for fitness enthusiasts, the smartwatch will feature a 1.3-inch AMOLED screen with (360 x 360 pixels), which is capable of displaying 16.7 million colours. It boasts of a 20 hours GPS, GLONASS, BioTracker PPG optical heart rate sensor, advanced activity tracker, and a sleep monitoring sensor.

The wearable technology company claims that the T-Rex will deliver up to 20 days of battery life.

The will come in 14 sports modes, which will track user performance indoor and outdoor, and activities like running, cycling, skiing and more.

The smartwatch will come with a rugged body, and will be capable of withstanding extreme temperatures and challenging outdoor conditions such as damp, salt, among others. The company also said that it can survive for two hours under rapid temperature change from 40 degree Celsius to 70 degree Celsius.
