The Forza series is one of the few Xbox exclusive racing games that have gotten better with every edition. The latest in the series is Forza Horizon 4, a successor to 2016's Forza Horizon 3.
While Horizon 3 was based in Australia, Horizon 4 takes you to England. It's an open-world racing game which means you can just drive through meticulously detailed cities and towns. There are various types of races — cross-country runs, dirt races and even street races. There are also showcase races against motorbikes and even airplanes.
One of the best things about Horizon 4 is that the races don’t always require you to win.
You can earn points for a fast drift, doing combos and even customising your car. These points can be used to get perks or unlock items. Horizon 4 is loaded with classics like the 1953 Ferrari 500 Mondial to the latest 2018 Ford Mustang GT.

You can either unlock them or just discover them in a hidden barn off the main road somewhere. This is what makes the open world game so much fun — you don’t have to stick to the main roads, just venture off road and you could get rewarded.
The developers have kept one of the best elements from Horizon 3: changing seasons. The graphics are just breathtaking and so are the sound effects.
Overall, if its just one racing game that you plan to buy this year, Forza Horizon 4 should be your choice. In our opinion, it is one of those games that make racing games a lot of fun and can be played for hours.
