Fashion for a cause: Michelle Poonawalla walks the ramp to raise awareness about child marriage

Artist, philanthropist and businesswoman Michelle Poonawalla supported NGO Breakthrough for its recent charity fund raiser called ‘Designing Dreams’. Poonawalla walked the ramp at the event organised to raise awareness about child marriage.

For nearly 20 years, Poonawalla has been working to change the cultural norms that perpetuate violence and discrimination against women. She has been helping the team of Breakthrough organise as well as raise funds for the cause.

The Yohan Poonawalla Foundation was one of the main sponsors of the event. The foundation works towards improving the lives of the underprivileged.
