Elon Musk issues an apology for Twitter's performance, announces new feature as fake accounts grow
Twitter is currently looking for ways to limit fake accounts on the social networking platform.

Musk's apology comes days after Twitter abruptly suspended its $8 blue-tick monthly subscription service as fake accounts mushroomed, pushing the social network's CEO to bring back the "official" badge to some users.
"Btw, I’d like to apologize for Twitter being super slow in many countries. App is doing >1000 poorly batched RPCs just to render a home timeline!" Musk tweeted.

Musk on Sunday had said that Twitter users engaging in impersonation without clearly specifying it as a "parody" account will be permanently suspended without a warning.
"Twitter feels increasingly alive," Musk wrote on the microblogging platform as he introduced the new feature which will start rolling out soon.
"Rolling out soon, Twitter will enable organizations to identify which other Twitter accounts are actually associated with them," the 51-year-old added.

Another update that Twitter will soon roll out for users is the 'Official' handle feature which will appear below the user's name on the profile and will only be available for select verified accounts including government officials, top bosses and major media companies.
