'Carpenter, Healer, God': Jesus Christ gets verified on Twitter with a blue tick, leaves netizens in split
As people started noticing the blue-tick, the Twitter handle of Jesus Christ wrote: "Why the assumption I am fake?"

In fact, the microblogging platform has already started testing new tools on Twitter, including the layout for the 'Official' label which will appear in a grey tone below the user's name on the profile.
Meanwhile, the Twitter Blue subscription will now let anyone on the microblogging platform acquire the blue-coloured verified tick next to their names on their profiles by paying an $8 monthly fee. The account doesn't need to be 'authentic', in a traditional sense, or an official to get the blue-tick badge, which has now verified the account of Jesus Christ on Twitter.
This has led to a riot on the microblogging platform among many Twitter users.
The account, by the name Jesus Christ and under the username @jejus further lists "Carpenter, Healer, God" as the profile description which is often a short bio about the account or account holder.
As the news about Jesus getting a blue tick on the Internet and planet Earth got around, Christ himself took to Twitter to clear assumptions.
"Why the assumption I am fake?" said the Jesus Christ Twitter handle, now flaunting a blue-tick next to its name, while reacting to the news of it receiving the verified badge.

"Show us your palms bro. And I got a tank full of water you might want to repeat that thing you did in Galilee," the person replied.
