'Drishyam 2' continues to be a crowd-puller, Ajay Devgn-starrer crosses Rs 75 cr on Day 4
The movie enjoyed a massive first-day collection -Rs 15.38 crore.

According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the crime thriller collected Rs 11.87 crore on Monday. Adarsh took to Twitter and shared a post where he broke down the revenue collected by the crime thriller per day. “#Drishyam2 continues its victorious run… Trends exceptionally well on Day 4 [Mon]… Hits double digits... The cast of the 2015 movie ‘Drishyam’ which includes Shriya Saran, Ishita Dutta, etc is also present in the sequel. Akshaye Khanna is the new addition to the cast of ‘Drishyam 2’. The movie is an official remake of the 2021 Malayalam movie that starred Mohanlal in the leading role.
Earlier in an interview with the news agency PTI, Pathak claimed that although the movie is heavily inspired by the Malayalam movie, the screenplay has been tweaked and necessary adjustments have been made to ensure the story was not a carbon copy of the original and matched the sensibilities of the Hindi speaking audience. “There is no point in making a frame-to-frame remake. You are not doing anything as a director if you do that. You have to bring your vision to the table. Also, if it’s a copy, people will talk about that aspect. It will spread via word of mouth and reduce your audience. Why would you want to take that chance?” the director was quoted as saying
