Dolly Kumar misses her office space, says keeping a track of everyone & avoiding distractions are WFH challenges

Dolly Kumar, Founder and Director of Cosmic Nutracos Solutions, believes the key is to keep yourself organised when working from home.
She told ET Panache, "When you are home, it might be challenging to create a working atmosphere around you. But keeping that in mind, you can make it more productive. I like to keep my weekdays busy connecting with my team every day at a scheduled time to review their activities, and make strategy and contingency plans to tackle the changing situations and uncertainties every day. I conduct all meetings and calls as per my schedule, say between 10 am - 7 pm. Rest of the time, I like to spend with my family."
Skype and Zoom are used by Kumar. The company uses Webinar for training.
"Working remotely from home is the new reality, and it takes time to get used to it. It’s a new way of life now and I am trying to make the best use out of it, while keeping my employees motivated. I do prefer working from the office more. There’s a different energy altogether when you are at your workstation," Kumar shared.
It’s difficult to keep a check on everyone and that’s why work from home needs to be well structured, feels the Cosmic Nutracos Solutions founder.
"It’s impossible to connect with everyone individually every day and that makes group meetings very imperative. Another challenge is to avoid distractions with things happening at home," she said.
The best way to manage personal and professional time is to keep dedicated time for working, and the rest should be spent with yourself and family. However, there must be room for some flexibility, feels Kumar.
