DocsApp boss recalls China getaway, says it helped him go outside comfort zone
Satish Kannan said that his trip helped him introspect.

“2019 has been a roller coaster ride. My biggest discovery was China, which I recently visited for work. Being in a country where everything was in a language that I didn’t know was intimidating. However, walking on the streets of China, I was able to absorb inspiration from the environment, people, their culture and everything that was different from what I am used to. China helped me get outside my comfort zone; travel in an unknown city, away from my usual routine. The sounds you hear, the food you smell and conversations you catch snippets of — all of it is so galvanising. It’s made my wanderlust go in high gear."
“China also helped me with introspection. I realised that a lot of younger people burn away their time on this planet, chasing goals. As I gazed at the skyline on my return flight to India, I remembered what (Allen) Saunders originally, and later (John) Lennon famously said, ‘Life is what happens to you while you’re busy making other plans.’”
