Experiencing level 3 rapids and seeing the River Ganga was the year’s big highlight for Karan Valecha, co-founder, Gold’s Gym.

“For 2019, the highlight and a discovery for me was the beauty of Rishikesh. I recently visited with my extended family for my father’s 60th birthday. It’s not every day that you wake up to the sounds of birds [and the occasional monkey!] amidst the serene mountains by the banks of the river Ganga. It was breathtaking.

While we performed aarti by the Ganga, did yoga and visited the Beatles Café, the highlight was the rafting trip. Simply fantastic. Jumping into that cold water and coming down those level 3 rapids was something else.

I would recommend that everyone visit Rishikesh in our very own incredible India and take out four days from your busy schedule to be swept away by the stunning natural beauty.”
