Fans of BTS were left worried just a day before the group’s much-awaited comeback concert after reports emerged that leader RM had sustained an injury during rehearsals. The incident came at a crucial time, with the group preparing for their first full-group performance in nearly four years, making the news especially concerning for their global fanbase.

BTS RM suffers an injury ahead of comeback live concert

According to the group’s agency BIGHIT MUSIC, RM was injured on March 19 while practising for the upcoming event. He was immediately taken to a hospital, where medical professionals conducted a detailed examination. Doctors diagnosed him with a sprain in the accessory navicular, a partial ligament tear, and a contusion in the talus area, which includes inflammation and ligament damage. As part of his treatment, RM has been advised to wear a cast and avoid excessive movement for at least two weeks to ensure proper healing.

Despite the injury, the rapper has remained committed to appearing at the concert. In its official statement, BIGHIT MUSIC explained that RM’s on-stage movements and choreography would be limited in order to prevent further strain on his ankle. The company emphasised that the decision was made after careful consultation with medical professionals and the artist himself, with the primary goal of safeguarding his health while still allowing him to participate in the symbolic performance.

RM later addressed fans directly during a live session, reassuring them about his condition. He acknowledged and said, " Itried very hard, and I got an ankle injury. Due to that, I really tried hard for practice. But I am not able to perform right away, so I won't be able to perform. But I will be on stage to meet you, I will be singing and hyping everyone up, and I will try hard to recover for the concert. Please do not worry, because it is not as serious, so I hope you look forward to the stage."
