Bored of your regular workouts? Try making use of the stairs at your home and office to stay fit.

Climbing stairs is one of the best exercises when it comes to burning fat, strengthening the lower part of your body, toning the butt, thighs, calves and abdomen. It is great for your heart too. But do check with your doctor about the stair workout if you have any medical condition:


Warm-up
Start your warm-up by walking up a flight of stairs. At the top of the stairs, perform 30 jumping jacks before walking down the stairs.

Step sprints
Run up a flight of stairs, hitting every step. Next, jog down every step. Continue for one minute.

Every others
Run up the flight of stairs again, this time skipping every other step on your way up. Jog down, using every step.

Squats to step
Stand with your back to the stairs and squat until your backside just touches the second step.

Decline push-ups
Start in high plank at bottom of the stairs with feet on first step, hands on floor. Keeping abs engaged and back flat, bend elbows to lower your body until your chest touches the floor. Push through your hands to raise back to starting position.
