Bethlehem Kudumba Unit to Sardar 2: Watch these latest Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu and Kannada OTT releases on Netflix, JioHotstar, Prime Video and more

Wednesday is here, which means it is time to check what the South Indian film industries have lined up for your weekend watchlist. This week brings a mix of action, romance, comedy and drama, with stories moving from spies and dating apps to family pressure and messy relationships. There are also a few familiar faces returning in new avatars, making the lineup worth checking out before you decide what to watch.

Sardar 2 – Amazon Prime Video

The Tamil spy-action thriller Sardar 2 is streaming on Amazon Prime Video from October 1. Directed by P. S. Mithran, the sequel to the 2022 film Sardar brings back Karthi in dual roles. The film stars Karthi, S. J. Suryah, Malavika Mohanan, Ashika Ranganath and Rajisha Vijayan. The story follows Inspector Vijay as he takes on a dangerous threat known as Black Dagger, while another timeline explores the origins and past of the legendary spy Sardar. The film is also available in Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi.


Bethlehem Kudumba Unit – JioHotstar

Nivin Pauly and Mamitha Baiju’s Malayalam romantic comedy Bethlehem Kudumba Unit will arrive on JioHotstar on October 2. Directed by Girish AD, the film follows Ashley, who returns to Kerala after studying in Ireland and crosses paths again with Justin, the older man she had fallen in love with before leaving. Their relationship had been separated by family opposition and their age difference. Ashley’s return, however, brings old feelings back and forces both of them to confront what they really want. Besides them, the Malayalam movie also featuresSangeeth Prathap, Roshan Shanavas, Shyam Mohan, Suresh Krishna, Vinay Forrt, Srinda and Meenakshi Raveendran.



Least Eligible Bachelor – ETVWin

The Telugu comedy-drama series Least Eligible Bachelor premieres on ETVWin on September 30. The story revolves around a middle-class young man who finds himself under constant pressure to get married. His personality and circumstances make him an unlikely choice in the marriage market, leading to situations involving family expectations, relationships and the search for a suitable partner. It stars Harsha Chemudu, Hyper Aadi, Aishwarya Holakkal, Jeevan Kumar.

Romanchakam – Netflix

Romanchakam is a Telugu romantic comedy that will stream on Netflix from October 1. Sumanth Prabhas plays Anvesh, an engineering graduate who starts a dating app to prove his entrepreneurial skills. There is one problem, while he is helping other people find love, he cannot seem to win over the woman he likes. As his startup begins to fall apart and financial troubles pile up, Anvesh gets caught in a series of unexpected situations.

#Love – Netflix

Aishwarya Lekshmi and Arjun Das headline the Tamil romantic comedy series #Love, which premieres on Netflix on October 2. The actors play Tara and Matthew, rival founders of dating apps who have very different views about relationships. Tara believes compatibility matters, while Matthew has a different idea about what makes love work. Their professional rivalry leads to a 60-day challenge that puts their theories to the test. The series is also available in Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi.



Mother Promise – ZEE5

The Kannada action comedy Mother Promise will be available on ZEE5 from October 2. The film follows a reckless man who gets into serious debt after making a disastrous bet. He decides to run away from those chasing him, but his problems only grow when his own mother sets out to find him. Dhananjaya leads the cast, with Poornachandra Mysore, Mahadev Prasad, Chi Guru Dutt, Nagabhushana NS and Vinaya Prasad also appearing in the film.
