Natalie, born in Brooklyn, New York, got married at 21 and worked as a switchboard operator, as per a report by Today. She now lives in an assisted living facility in Englewood, New Jersey.Natalie has 2 children and 4 grandchildren. She is also lucky enough to spend time with her 6 great-grandchildren. When asked about her secret to longevity, Natalie’s blunt reply was: ‘You just have to be very open-minded… You have to enjoy living.’

Speaking about her diet, Natalie revealed that she always starts her breakfast with her favourite fruit: blueberries. She is also fond of apples, known to be beneficial for diabetes, inflammation, gut health, heart ailments and even weight loss. Avocados are also a part of her morning meal sometimesInterestingly, Natalie also loves bacon, although she admits that she shouldn’t eat it. Her breakfast regularly consists of 2 over-easy fried eggs with bacon and an English muffin. The centenarian admits not maintaining a rigorous diet. ‘I eat basically everything,’ she said.
Apart from that, Natalie seems to have a sweet tooth. She loves to indulge in the goodness of dark chocolate. Dubbed the healthiest, dark chocolate contains the most cocoa bean solids, which have phytochemicals shown to have anti-inflammatory, anticancer, and antihypertensive properties, as per experts.
