Vibhhas Verma shares how reading has helped him gain an interesting perspective amidst the pandemic.
The lockdown gave Vibhhas Verma, CEO of Aqueouss, an opportunity to take out some to invest in opportunities other than work.

He told ET Panache, "I managed to make the most of it even amidst the new work from home normal and catch up on my reading. Some of the books that I read during the lockdown are Make your own luck by Bob Miglani and Rehan Yar Khan, Entreprenuer 5 P.M. to 9 A.M by Kanth Miriyala and Reethika Sunder, The Reluctant Billionaire by Soma Das, The One minute Manager by Ken Blanchar and Spencer Johnson and The 5 a.m. Club by Robin Sharma."

Books have the power to transform us at every given age. The books Verma read during the lockdown gave him several learnings on how to better his personal and professional life.

"All along my life, books have had the a huge power in shaping up the person that I am. I strongly believe that every page has the ability to leave an impact on you. It makes you grow wiser with each passing day. No wonder, books are said to be man’s best friend," he said.

No matter how busy a day is, Verma tries and keeps at least 30 minutes every day for reading.

"These 30 plus minutes with a book help me destress. My choice of books are usually the ones that help me grow mentally and adds to life experiences. I am a firm believer in the fact that books are a great tool and have the power to change a person’s perspectives towards things big and small. Books help you identify the kind of person you are and also the extent of the avenue you wish to be at. That’s why, reading once a day, helps me keep stress at bay," he said.

While Verma is agnostic to the whole e-books vs physical books concept, he is somehow most comfortable with physical books. "The old school charm of holding a book is surreal and most importantly, reading (a physical book) is the only time when we are not using any electronic gadgets. And that is something that I enjoy; the chance to disconnect, even if it is for a short period of time," he ended.
