Anand Mahindra has the perfect antidote to Monday blues, asks followers to be ‘crazy good’ at what they do

The thought of weekend calls for revelry, but what about the first day of the week? Not so inspiring. Over the last few years, Monday dread has become a universal thing. Being in a job one dislikes, ending of a vacation, weekends getting over, are some of the reasons why Mondays have become a reason for despair and a provenance for memes.

Even if you like your job, Mondays can be difficult to overcome. Perhaps, this is because one has to shift from a relaxed mode to work mode. Prominent industrialist Anand Mahindra has an antidote to Monday blues. The 67-year-old business tycoon shared his insights in his customary Monday motivation tweet. The Mahindra boss shared a quote by American writer Mark Twain.

The famous quote by the writer says - “Life becomes fully understandable only the moment we realise that we are all mad.” Mahindra in his tweet gave it a Monday spin. The billionaire said that one can go to work on Mondays with a smile on their face if they acknowledge that the world is a madhouse and that all of us are a bit crazy. He issued a caveat with the thought that one should also ensure that they try to be "crazy good" at what they do.


“You may be able to go into work on Mondays with a smile on your face if you acknowledge inside yourself that the world’s a madhouse & we’re all a bit crazy. Just make sure you try to be ‘crazy good’ at what you do…!” read Mahindra’s tweet.
The Mahindra boss is known for frequently sharing his insights on current affairs, social media trends, to his 10 million followers. His posts have been well-liked by followers who also engage with them through comments, retweets and quote tweets. Mahindra also occasionally engages with his followers with his wit and wisdom.

On Sunday, Mahindra shared a comic strip with the title ‘Nursing Home In A Post-Texting World’. The comic strip which is a satire on the present-day culture of immersive oneself in smartphones and overlooking human interactions. Mahindra said that the cartoon was depressing and that it made him put his mobile down immediately after tweeting the comic strip. In his characteristic humour he added that he will ensure that his Sunday is spent with neck straight and head up.
