Amitabh Bachchan tests positive for Covid-19, requests all those who came in contact to get tested

Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan has tested positive for Covid-19. The actor took to his Twitter account to announce the development. In his tweet, Big B requested all those who have been in contact with him to get themselves tested.

“T 4388 - I have just tested CoViD + positive .. all those that have been in my vicinity and around me, please get yourself checked and tested also,” read Big B’s tweet.
This is the second time the doyen of Bollywood has tested positive for Covid-19. In July 2020, Big B, son Abhishek Bachchan, daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and granddaughter Aaradhya Bachchan tested positive. Back then, both Amitabh and Abhishek were admitted to Mumbai’s Nanavati Hospital.


In January this year, a staff member of Big B’s team tested positive for Covid, however, the person was asymptomatic. Big B had taken to his blog to share that he was dealing with some domestic Covid situations. In another blog entry around the same time, Big B said, “fight…fighting…and the prayers of all….no further…no more description…just that the show goes on.” The 'Jhund' actor got fully vaccinated in May 2021.

On the work front, Big B was last seen in films such as ‘Chehre’. ‘Jhund’, and ‘Runway 34’. The megastar will be seen next in ‘Brahmastra’, ‘Goodbye’, ‘Unchai’, ‘Project K’, etc. Among his last releases, ‘Jhund’ helmed by film-maker Nagraj Manjule won critical acclaim.

Apart from films, the iconic actor is presently hosting ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ Season 14. There have been no details if the actor’s shoot schedules have been affected due to his health.
