Amitabh Bachchan gives a 4 AM update after injuring his knee during KBC shoot: 'Chalen'

Amitabh Bachchan's latest appearance on Kaun Banega Crorepati 18 began on a slightly different note. The veteran actor, who is known for his energetic entry and opening monologues, appeared seated as he addressed the audience. He soon explained that a knee injury had made it difficult for him to stand for long.

During the live show, Big B revealed that he had hurt his knee during the previous day's shoot. While the injury appeared to have affected his movement, the 83-year-old actor was quick to reassure everyone that there was no reason for serious concern. Later, he also remained active on social media, sharing a 4 AM update.

At the beginning of the latest episode, superstar explained why he was not delivering his usual monologue while standing at the centre of the KBC set. He said that he normally begins the show standing in the middle, but this time he had to remain seated because of a knee injury.




The actor then shared that "Usually, I do my monologue standing at the center but today, I have a knee injury. Yesterday, during the shoot, I slipped and fell and injured my knee." The fall resulted in an injury to his left knee, which he pointed towards while telling the audience what had happened.

The revelation understandably left people in the studio concerned. However, Big B soon put their worries to rest and clarified that the injury was not serious.

He continued hosting despite the injury

Despite the discomfort, Amitabh Bachchan did not completely avoid standing during the episode. He told the audience that he would continue to stand while interacting with the challengers on the show.

The decision to sit during the opening monologue appeared to be a way of managing the discomfort while continuing with his work commitments. The studio audience also wished the actor a speedy recovery after learning about his injury.

Bachchan has continued to maintain a busy professional schedule even at 83. Apart from hosting Kaun Banega Crorepati, he remains involved with films and frequently interacts with fans through his social media accounts.

The actor's social media activity also caught attention following the episode. The Kalki actor shared an early-morning post on X at around 4 AM.

In the post, he wrote, “T 5872 - 4 bazaar gaye, chalen.” The brief message came after his KBC appearance in which he had spoken about his knee injury.



Bachchan also shared a post on Tumblr around the same time. In it, he spoke about people and love and wrote, "people .. people people .. and love is all they want .. most humbling and most times a fear of this absence .. Love"

Meanwhile, Bachchan continues to have several projects in his professional pipeline. The actor will next be seen in Section 84, a courtroom drama directed by Ribhu Dasgupta.

The film features Bachchan alongside Diana Penty, Nimrat Kaur and Abhishek Banerjee. Section 84 is currently in post-production.
