Indian vs South Korean weddings
The clip, posted by Maansi on Instagram, opens to her walking down the streets of South Korea as she explains the nitty-gritty of the country’s marriage rituals. As per Maansi, ‘everything was so different’ from what she expected as being an Indian; she is accustomed to multiple functions in such weddings that leave you exhausted by the end of the day.On the contrary, Maansi revealed that a South Korean wedding wraps up in just about 2 hours. Everything from the bride and groom’s entry to their wedding vows, song and dance performances, as well as guests enjoying their meals, is complete within the brief 2-hour ceremony. But that’s not all.
Maansi shared that neither the food nor the decor at the venue is wasted. After the food has been served and eaten, the wedding guests are offered flowers, arranged in baskets, bouquets, or boxes as return gifts. Interestingly, these are the same flowers used to beautify the premises. Delighted by the concept, Maansi said, ‘How beautiful is that?’
India vs South Korea work culture
Previously, Maansi uploaded another video on Instagram, highlighting an exciting work culture perk in South Korea. The Indian expat admitted being surprised to learn that employees at her new company earned luxury fashion gifts by completing a 2-month fitness challenge. Under the initiative, employees must exercise consistently, update their team leader or manager about their progress and submit photo or video proof of their workouts. Those who successfully complete the challenge are rewarded with a gift from the company. Maansi revealed that the incentives include luxury labels such as Gucci, Chanel and Prada, making the programme particularly appealing. The initiative aims to encourage employees to prioritise fitness despite their busy work schedules.
