Gita says that creation rests on two divine energies of Krishn. The Atman, individual soul, is his superior spiritual energy, while maya, material world, is his inferior energy. Through maya, three gunas, sattva, rajas and tamas, influence human thought and behaviour. Deluded by these forces, the soul becomes entangled in the cycle of karm - birth, death and rebirth.

Seekers wonder: why did God create maya? Life, as explained in Gita, is not a random struggle but a purposeful curriculum. World is a school, Atman is the student, and maya is the syllabus. Krishn, divine teacher and examiner, sets the test, not to punish but to awaken.

Maya serves as the testing ground where the soul confronts desires, attachments, ambitions and fears. Krishn teaches to rise above gunas of maya and rediscover one's spiritual path.

Pain teaches detachment, success tests humility, and both reveal the temporary nature of material attainments. Every experience becomes a lesson in spiritual evolution. Thus, maya is not a cosmic trap but a divine instrument of growth. Life is a sacred opportunity to choose wisely, awaken consciously and progress towards liberation. The ultimate graduation is entry into Vaikuntha, where the soul, having passed through the school of maya, rejoins the Supreme in eternal bliss.
