Apologise and resign: Mallikarjun Kharge to Amit Shah over NEET paper leak crackdown

Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha, Mallikarjun Kharge, on Thursday demanded the resignation of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, holding him responsible for the alleged police action against students during the July 20 protests in Delhi. Raising the issue in the Upper House, Kharge said the Home Minister should "take accountability, apologise and resign" over the developments. Launching a sharp attack on the government, Kharge accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah of maintaining silence over the student protests. He warned that if the government continued to ignore the concerns of students, they would "teach them a lesson once again."
