‘Which decisions were unanimous?’: Owaisi questions ECI’s press note, SIR mapping

AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi has questioned the Election Commission’s decision-making process amid the row over reported dissent notes by two Election Commissioners on the Special Intensive Revision (SIR). Owaisi asked whether decisions were taken by majority vote and raised concerns about the burden of documentation on poor electors. He also questioned how families would establish lineage for voter inclusion if parents’ or grandparents’ names were missing from the final SIR rolls.
