Naidu launches Amritsar hub-spoke model via Delhi; calls it 'international gateway for North India'
Union Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu launched the ‘Hub and Spoke’ model at Amritsar airport on Tuesday, enabling passengers to complete “check-in, immigration, customs, and baggage drop-off” in Amritsar before connecting to international flights via Delhi. Naidu said passengers could board their international flights within “a window of just 4 hours,” while MoCA Secretary Samir Kumar Sinha said the government plans to establish “4 such hubs and approximately 40 spokes across India” to improve global connectivity.
