In today's trade, shares of Maruti Suzuki, ITC, ZEE, Persistent Systems, Muthoot Finance among others will be in focus due to various news developments and first quarter results.
ITC
FMCG major ITC recorded a standalone net profit of Rs 3,579 crore for the April-June quarter of FY27, marking a 27% year-on-year drop from Rs 4,911 crore reported in the year-ago period. ITC’s revenue from operations however rose 28% YoY to Rs 26,943 crore during the quarter under review, from Rs 21,695 crore in the year-ago period.

Maruti Suzuki
Auto major Maruti Suzuki reported 11% year-on-year (YoY) decline in its standalone net profit of Rs 3,352 crore in the first quarter, compared with a profit of Rs 3,758 crore in the last year quarter. Revenue from operations in the reporting period increased 36% YoY to Rs 52,456 crore.
Sun Pharma
Pharma major Sun Pharma reported 27% year-on-year (YoY) growth in its net profit of Rs 2,895 crore in the first quarter, compared with a profit of Rs 2,279 crore in the last year quarter. Revenue from operations in the reporting period increased 10% YoY to Rs 15,300 crore.
PNB
With its capital adequacy ratio exceeding 18%, Punjab National Bank has no immediate plans to monetise its subsidiaries, the bank's Managing Director and CEO Ashok Chandra said, adding that the lender will instead focus on strengthening their operations to unlock greater value in the future.

Indian Oil
Indian Oil Corp has no plans to shift away from Gulf crude despite the current uncertainties, as the region offers freight advantages and its refineries are configured to process Gulf grades, Chairman A S Sahney said.
ZEE
Market regulator Sebi has barred Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd (ZEEL) and two of its top executives, Punit Goenka and Subhash Chandra, from the securities market after finding that ZEEL’s Hyderabad land was mortgaged against loans availed by Essel Group entities without necessary corporate approvals.

Persistent Systems
IT major Persistent Systems Limited on Sunday reported an 9% quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) decline in its consolidated net profit for the first quarter of the financial year 2027 (Q1 FY27). According to the company's exchange filing, consolidated net profit stood at Rs 483 crore during the April-June quarter, compared with Rs 529 crore in the preceding quarter (Q4 FY26).
Muthoot Finance
Muthoot Finance Board has appointed Alexander George as the Managing Director of the company with effect from October 1.
