Mumbai: Shares of Manipal Health Enterprises (Manipal Hospitals) listed at a premium of up to an 11% over the initial public offer price of ₹590 on Wednesday.

The stock debuted at ₹652 on the NSE and at ₹655 on the BSE. It touched an intraday high of ₹675.80 on the NSE and ₹676.05 on the BSE before closing at ₹663.15 on the NSE and ₹666.70 on the BSE.

The company's market capitalisation was at ₹87,229.24 crore at close. The market value of one of the country's largest listed hospital chains was at ₹128,112 crore on Tuesday.


The ₹9,275-crore IPO, which was open for subscription from July 29 to July 31, was subscribed 4.92 times. Temasek-backed Manipal Health had fixed the price band at ₹560-590 per equity share.

It was the second-largest IPO this year after SBI Funds Management's ₹9,795-crore issue, which was subscribed 41.73 times. The offering comprised a fresh issue of shares worth ₹8,000 crore and an offer for sale (OFS) of 2.16 crore equity shares, aggregating to ₹1,275.2 crore, by promoters and existing investors.
