Investors await the allotment status of the Indo-MIM IPO, which saw overwhelming demand during its subscription period.

The wait is nearly over for investors in the Indo-MIM IPO, with the basis of allotment expected to be finalized today. Applicants to the Rs 3,811.21 crore public issue will be able to check whether they have been allotted shares, while the company is slated to make its stock market debut on the BSE and NSE on July 30.

Ahead of the listing, the IPO continues to generate strong excitement in the grey market. The latest Grey Market Premium (GMP) stands at around Rs 190, or nearly 39% over the upper price band of Rs 485 per share, indicating an estimated listing price of around Rs 675.

The IPO, which was open for subscription from July 23 to July 27, witnessed overwhelming investor interest, receiving an overall subscription of 72.34 times. Institutional investors drove the demand, with the Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIBs) portion subscribed 204.34 times. The Non-Institutional Investor (NII) category was subscribed 50.63 times, while the Retail Individual Investor (RII) segment saw a healthy 6.67 times subscription.


The public issue comprised a fresh issue of 1.03 crore equity shares worth Rs 499.10 crore and an Offer for Sale (OFS) of 6.83 crore shares aggregating Rs 3,311.21 crore by existing shareholders. Shares were offered in the price band of Rs 461-485 apiece.

The IPO is being managed by HDFC Bank, Axis Capital, ICICI Securities, Kotak Mahindra Capital Company, and SBI Capital Markets as the book-running lead managers, while MUFG Intime India Pvt. Ltd. is the registrar to the issue.

The strong financial performance, coupled with overwhelming subscription and a healthy grey market premium, has heightened investor expectations for a robust market debut.
