A24 has unveiled the trailer for the much-anticipated documentary from Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim. It captures several tense and emotional moments involving Holmes, including an encounter with Fielder that leaves her visibly upset. The film follows Holmes around a pivotal period surrounding her prison sentence, while cameras remain close to her personal life. Spanning years of filmmaking, the documentary promises a revealing portrait of one of Silicon Valley’s most notorious figures.

Nathan Fielder probes Holmes and Evans’ relationship

Fielder had extensive access to Holmes and Evans’ lives, even staying with them while documenting the period leading up to Holmes beginning her prison sentence. Fielder’s presence quickly became a source of pointed questions, with Holmes acknowledging the unusual circumstances of having a filmmaker around them constantly.


Fielder also turned his attention to Evans, probing his relationship with Holmes and how much he knew about her past. Evans revealed that he had developed feelings for Holmes before fully understanding her connection to Theranos.

Later in the trailer, Fielder questioned whether Evans had ever considered the possibility that Holmes might have been deceiving him, particularly given his family’s considerable wealth. Evans maintained that he had been concerned but could not see what Holmes would have gained by misleading him. Fielder then pressed Evans whether he ever suspected Holmes lying to him. In response, Evans remained firm, insisting he never had reason to doubt her.

Elsewhere in the trailer, Fielder told Holmes that had a nagging sense that there were aspects of her story he was yet to see. Holmes, however, pushed back, maintaining that there was nothing she was hiding. You Can See Everything’s trailer concluded on an emotional note, with Holmes being unable to control her tears as she reflected on how difficult it was for her to allow another person to see her vulnerable side.

For the unversed, Holmes was convicted on 4 fraud and conspiracy charges linked to misleading investors about Theranos’ blood-testing technology in 2022. She received a sentence of over 11 years. Fielder and Oppenheim reportedly filmed the documentary secretly over 3 years. You Can See Everything is scheduled to premiere in theatres on October 16.
