Bakery-style cookies might be crispy on the outside, soft in the middle and packed with flavour, hitting the spot right from the first bite. But they are usually loaded with maida, butter, and sugar, making them high in calories and offering little nutrition. It can also lead to unwanted sugar spikes and cravings. If you're looking for a healthier alternative that doesn't compromise on taste, celebrity fitness trainer Yasmin Karachiwala, who has worked with Bollywood stars including Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, Kriti Sanon and Ananya Panday, has shared an easy cookie recipe made with simple ingredients on Instagram that you can enjoy guilt-free.

As per the caption, Yasmin Karachiwala revealed that her cookie recipe requires no fancy ingredients or complicated steps. The wholesome cookies, made with crunchy coconuts and almond flour, come together with a handful of pantry staples, making them a perfect treat to be enjoyed with a brewing cup of coffee.

Healthy cookies: Ingredients required



2 cups desiccated coconut
1/4 cup of almond flour
1 tbsp of coconut oil
2 tbsp of maple syrup
1 tbsp of almond milk
A pinch of salt

Healthy cookies: How to prepare


To prepare the cookies, first, you have to add the desiccated coconut and almond flour into a bowl, followed by pouring some amount of coconut oil, maple syrup, milk, and vanilla extract before sprinkling a pinch of salt. Mix everything uniformly until it forms a thick consistency. After that, scoop small portions of the blend onto a lined baking tray.


In the next step, gently flatten each one of the scoops into a cookie shape. Now, it is time to bake them at 180°C for 15–20 minutes until they turn into a light golden-brown texture. Once done, allow the cookies to cool completely. Next, dip the edges in melted dark chocolate and sprinkle some flaky sea salt. Let the chocolate set for a few minutes and voila! You are all done. Enjoy the delicious cookies with a brewing cup of aromatic coffee for the perfect start to your morning, to curb sudden hunger pangs, or as evening snacks.
