Avengers Endgame Encore box office collection day 1: Marvel film re-release opens on a strong note, beats Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar in India

Marvel fans assembled on Friday (September 25) as one of the biggest films in the Avengers franchise was re-released in India and worldwide. Marvel Studios returned Avengers: Endgame to theatres in India after seven years with a new release titled Avengers Endgame: Encore. The film was released ahead of Avengers: Doomsday, which is scheduled to release in December this year. The movie opened on a good note at the box office after recording strong pre-sales ahead of its release, exceeding initial expectations for a re-release.

According to early estimates by Sacnilk.com, the film minted Indian net collection of Rs 7.25 crore across 3,635 shows. This brings total India gross collections to Rs 8.68 crore.




By earning Rs 7.25 crore net on its first day, the movie comfortably smashed the previous day-one record for a Hollywood re-release held by Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar in 2025, according to Hindustan Times report.

The majority of the movie's opening-day collection, earning around Rs 5.25 crore, came from the English version. The dubbed versions in Tamil and Telugu minted around Rs 30 lakh and Rs 45 lakh, respectively, while the Hindi version collected nearly Rs 1.25 crore. The film recorded 24.25% overall occupancy on Friday, with night shows seeing the highest footfall

Avengers Endgame: Encore' will be shown in formats including IMAX and Infinity Vision. The re-release also include four new post-credit scenes and an exclusive preview of Avengers: Doomsday.

Released in 2019, Avengers: Endgame followed the events of Thanos' snap, which wiped out half of all life in the universe. The remaining Avengers were left dealing with the loss before coming together for one final attempt to bring everyone back.



The film, directed by Anthony and Joe Russo and produced by Kevin Feige, went on to become one of the biggest cinematic events of its time. It also brought the Infinity Saga to a major conclusion. Now, with Avengers: Doomsday set to continue the Marvel story, Endgame returned to theatres for fans who want to relive the film on the big screen. Avengers Endgame: Encore has been released across India in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
