Bethlehem Kudumba Unit OTT release and platform update: When and where to watch Nivin Pauly, Mamitha Baiju's highest-grossing Malayalam film after its theatrical run

It’s been over 30 days, and Nivin Pauly and Mamitha Baiju’s rom-com Bethlehem Kudumba Unit is still running successfully in theatres amid new releases. The film was released in theatres on August 21. Directed by Girish AD, the movie broke several records and became the highest-grossing Malayalam movie of all time after crossing the Rs 300 crore mark at the global box office. Now, we have a major update about its digital release.

Streaming details of Bethlehem Kudumba Unit

If reports are to be believed, according to Indian Express Malayalam, the film will start streaming on JioHotstar from October 2. JioHotstar reportedly holds its post-theatrical streaming rights. However, the makers have not officially announced the digital premiere date yet. There have also been reports that the OTT release could be delayed as the film continues to perform well in theatres.

According to early estimates by Sacnilk.com, Girish AD’s directorial venture Bethlehem Kudumba Unit minted Rs 61 lakh net in India on Day 35. The total India net collection now stands at Rs 161.16 crore, while the gross collection stands at Rs 188.11 crore.




The Malayalam movie has broken several records at the global box office. With its India and overseas earnings combined, Bethlehem Kudumba Unit has reached a worldwide gross collection of Rs 325.56 crore. The Malayalam version was released on August 21, 2026, followed by the Telugu and Tamil versions on September 4.

Reacting to this huge box office success, Nivin Pauly told Pinkvilla, "I’m sure the next biggest hit is already cooking somewhere in Malayalam cinema, and hopefully, it will be served soon. The fact that one film can hold a record only for a certain period shows that our industry is continuing to grow. What makes me happiest is not really the number. It’s seeing families coming together to watch the film. There are people who have watched it more than twice. They watch it once with their friends and then come back with their families."

Bethlehem Kudumba Unit was jointly produced by Fahadh Faasil, Dileesh Pothan and Syam Pushkaran. It is written by Girish AD and Kiran Josey. The music for the movie was composed by Vishnu Vijay, while the cinematography was handled by Ajmal Sabu.

The movie was edited by Akash Joseph Varghese. Fans were quite eager to watch Nivin Pauly and Mamitha Baiju in a romantic tale, as both actors are known for their romantic dramas, such as Premam and Premalu, respectively. They absolutely loved their chemistry and showered immense love on them.
