Sanjay Dutt, who was last seen in Dhurandhar 2, needs no introduction. The Bollywood actor is celebrating his 67th birthday today, July 30. Despite his immense stardom, Dutt’s personal and professional lives has been marked by challenges. However, every setback helped him emerge stronger than ever before. In 2020, Dutt was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer after complaints of severe breathlessness. He received treatment in Mumbai with the help of family and fellow actor Rakesh Roshan, and announced he was cancer-free by October 2020. Now, dutt follows a disciplined and balanced diet and works out regularly.

Sanjay Dutt’s healthy diet and workout

Previously, in an interview with the Free Press Journal, Sanjay Dutt revealed that is able to do as many as 50 pushups in one session — that’s how healthy he is. Last year, in an interaction with Curly Tales, Sanjay Dutt shared that he has 6 means in a day, an eating pattern that the actor believes supports his workout routine and fitness goals, especially as a Bollywood star who is required to stay fit.

Further in the conversation, Sanjay Dutt revealed he begins his morning with a bowl of muesli, egg whites and avocado. Meanwhile, throughout the day, he eats small portions of salads and fruits before indulging in lean protein sources such as boiled chicken. However, the actor has openly confessed that he occasionally participates in cheat meals too.

Sanjay Dutt’s favourite cheat meals

Despite maintaining a strict diet, Sanjay Dutt does not subscribe to the idea of cutting out his favourite foods completely. The actor has said that he enjoys lip-smacking dishes from time to time, including butter chicken, believing that balance and portion control are more sustainable than following stringent food rules. According to Dutt, staying in tune with his body's needs is more important than adhering to an inflexible eating regimen.

Speaking about the foods he loves to put on his plate, Sanjay Dutt revealed that biryani tops the list. He also counts shammi kebab and boti kebab among his favourite cheat meals. His preference for these rich and aromatic delicacies highlights his enduring love for classic North Indian and Mughlai flavours, cuisines that have long remained a cherished part of his culinary preferences.
