A recent LinkedIn post by YesMadam co-founder and CEO Aditya Arya has captured that reality after he shared how a 90-second meeting with his wife at an airport became their version of a date.

A 90-second airport meeting that became a date

Sharing a photograph from an airport, Arya revealed that one of them had just landed while the other was about to board a flight. The couple had only about a minute and a half together, but they still stopped to hold hands before continuing their journeys.


"One of us was landing. One of us was leaving. We still managed to find 90 seconds at the same gate to hold hands and pretend we had all the time in the world," he wrote on LinkedIn.

Arya said the couple has started calling these brief encounters their "meetings."

"We've started calling this 'meeting.' Most couples go on dates. We do layovers."


He admitted that this was never the kind of married life they imagined when they got married. But over the years, building YesMadam together changed the rhythm of their relationship. "Nobody plans a marriage like this. It just becomes the shape your life takes when you build something together."

He also reflected on how the lessons of entrepreneurship have carried into their personal life. "Building YesMadam taught us to make the most of limited time. Turns out that's just marriage too, when you're a founder. 9 years. Same principle. Different boardrooms."

"Some called it a weird life. But for us, this is romance," she wrote.

Sharma said the time they sacrifice together is part of working towards something bigger than themselves. According to her, building the company is also about creating opportunities and setting an example for their children.

"Building something bigger than ourselves. Creating employment. Living a purpose we both believe in. And showing our children that serving your country isn't just about words—it's also about creating opportunities for others."

She added that while people saw an airport crossing, they saw something entirely different.

"Everyone sees the same picture differently. Some saw us crossing paths at the airport. We saw two people walking towards the same dream."
