Budget 2016: Air India seeks Rs 4,270 crore from government for their turnaround plan

Air India is also going to hire 1000 cabin crew members over the next one year. The airline has recently hired 500 cabin crew members recently.

NEW DELHI: AI has sought Rs 4,270 crore from the government as part of their Budget demands

Of the amount, Rs 3,300 crore is part of the turnaround plan. Rs 970 crore extra is due to fall in value of rupee.

The government is infusing money in the national carrier as part of a turnaround plan that is to infuse Rs 30,231 crore till 2020-21.

Meanwhile, Air India is also going to hire 1000 cabin crew members over the next one year. The airline has recently hired 500 cabin crew members recently.

Air India is also hiring 500 pilots in the airline.
