The country star confirmed that he and his wife, Faith Hill, attended the couple’s July 3 celebration in New York but denied performing at the event. Speaking on Esquire’s What I’ve Learned podcast, McGraw also opened up about his long friendship with Swift, praising her songwriting and the special bond she has built with his family.

Tim McGraw made it clear that reports of him taking the stage at the wedding were not true. "Well, I didn't perform at her wedding. That was a rumor," McGraw said on Wednesday's episode of Esquire's What I've Learned podcast. "Surprise, the internet's not always correct."


The singer did confirm that he and Faith Hill were among the guests at the star-studded celebration. The event took place at Madison Square Garden in New York City on July 3, as per a report by Entertainment Weekly. The couple got married during the Fourth of July weekend. They wore custom Christian Dior Haute Couture outfits for their wedding, according to a press release. While several famous guests attended, not everyone performed.



PEOPLE reported that Paul McCartney, Stevie Nicks and Kelce were among those who sang at the celebration. Nelly and Ashanti later confirmed on Good Day New York that they had not performed.

We couldn't be happier for her to find Travis, who's a cool guy as well," he said.
