Former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson has revealed an unexpected connection between Sean 'Diddy' Combs and President Donald Trump. The 60-year-old boxing legend recently acknowledged that imprisoned music mogul asked him to pass a letter to the president, raising fresh questions about Combs' efforts to secure a presidential pardon. Speaking during an interview with Andy Cohen, Tyson discussed his friendship with the 'Bad Boy Records' founder and explained how a phone conversation with Combs led to an unusual request involving the White House.

MIKE TYSON REVEALS DIDDY'S REQUEST INVOLVING DONALD TRUMP

According to Complex, Tyson made the revelation during an October 8 appearance on SiriusXM's Andy Cohen Live, where the conversation turned to his relationship with Combs.

When Cohen asked whether he was still friends with the incarcerated rapper, Tyson responded, "Yeah, I'm friendly with Puff."

The former heavyweight champion also expressed surprise over the legal proceedings against Combs.

"I was surprised that they went through so many lengths to get him. They used a 110-year-old rule to get him, that case 110 years ago, but they used it to get him. Can you imagine that?"

Tyson was referring to the Mann Act, a federal law originally enacted in 1910 and subsequently amended.

The conversation then took an interesting turn when Cohen asked whether Tyson had maintained contact with Combs since his imprisonment.

"Well, I spoke with him once on the phone, yes," Tyson replied. "He wanted me to give a letter to the president."

Cohen followed up by asking whether Tyson had actually delivered the letter to Trump.

"I did what he told me to do, yeah," Tyson confirmed.

However, Tyson did not reveal the letter's contents or provide further details about the delivery.

DID DIDDY SEEK A PRESIDENTIAL PARDON FROM DONALD TRUMP?

Tyson's disclosure comes as Combs continues serving a 50-month federal prison sentence following his 2025 conviction on two counts of transportation for prostitution. The music executive was acquitted of the more serious charges of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking.

According to Complex, Combs' legal representatives previously indicated that they were pursuing a presidential pardon following his conviction.

XXL Magazine also reported that Trump acknowledged receiving a letter from Combs requesting clemency in January, although the president indicated he would not grant the request.

It remains unclear whether the letter Tyson discussed was the same correspondence Trump previously acknowledged receiving. According to XXL Magazine, Combs is currently scheduled to be released from federal prison on March 2, 2028.

Tyson's revelation has brought renewed attention to Combs' efforts to obtain presidential clemency. However, questions remain about the letter's contents, when it was delivered and whether it had any influence on Trump's position.
