PAC mourned wrestler Andy Williams' 'in-ring' death in final social media post week before his own tragic death

Benjamin Satterley, better known in wrestling circles as PAC, said goodbye to his fellow wrestler Andy 'The Butcher' Williams through his last-ever social media post on X, featuring a photo of the two of them together, just one week before he himself passed away at the age of 40. Williams, who died early this month due to an accident suffered during the course of a match, was 48 years old. The two wrestlers had been members of the same locker room in All Elite Wrestling (AEW). While at the time of PAC’s post, it was a farewell to a fellow wrestler, now fans are remembering his words in memory of yet another loss.


"We always knew you were an anomaly too good for this world," Satterley said in a TV tribute for Williams on September 12 as quoted by New York Post. "I just want to say I love you, man. And you always made sure that I knew you loved me too. I’ll miss you, my friend. Till we meet again."


Williams, widely known as 'The Butcher' by wrestling fans, died after collapsing during a tag-team match at Mr. Small’s Theatre in Millvale, Pennsylvania, earlier in September. The 48-year-old was wrestling alongside longtime tag-team partner Jesse 'The Blade' Guilmette when he knocked his head against the ringpost and later fell down. The duo was part of the AEW roster from 2019 to 2026.

According to organizers of the 'Love Wrestling' event, medical personnel rushed into the ring and performed CPR before Williams was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.


According to the New York Post, Williams was also well known outside professional wrestling as the rhythm guitarist for the metalcore band 'Every Time I Die'.


"Anybody who knew Andy, they were his friend,” Williams’ father, Frank, told WIVB on Sunday as quoted by the Post. “If he had a dollar in his pocket and you needed it, he would try to get you a dollar and a quarter. He was that type of guy where money meant nothing to him, friendship meant everything, and that was my son.”

PAC’s final tribute has now taken on a painfully poignant meaning, connecting two losses that have shaken the wrestling community within the space of just a few weeks.
