Madonna has been linked to Angelina Jolie's Los Angeles mansion after reports claimed the singer bought the property for $24.75 million. Actor’s realtor, Ernie Carswell, has denied the reports. Carswell, during an appearance on The Society Group's Real Talk show, told Madonna was not the buyer. Jolie sold the estate on September 24 after listing it for $29.85 million in May. The mansion was formerly owned by filmmaker Cecil B. DeMille. The property is located in the Los Feliz neighbourhood. It is spread in more than two acres of land. While Madonna was reportedly enquiring about the house before its sale, the identity of the buyer has remained private due to a non-disclosure agreement. Realtor Ernie Carswell co-listed the property.

Angelina Jolie's Los Angeles mansion was sold for $24.75 million on September 24. Thereafter, a number of outlets linked Madonna to the purchase. However, Carswell has clarified that the singer is not the buyer of the mansion.

The mansion, previously owned by filmmaker Cecil B. DeMille, is located in Los Feliz, Los Angeles. The property is spread in 2.1 acres. Along with the main house, the property boasts of guesthouse, swimming pool and several other facilities.

What has realtor Ernie Carswell said?

Carswell said that the reports about Madonna buying Jolie's mansion are false. He made the revelation during an appearance on The Society Group's Real Talk show on October 8. He stated that real estate agents who sign non-disclosure agreements have an ethical obligation to protect the privacy of their clients. While he identified that Madonna was not the buyer, Carswell did not reveal the identity of the person who purchased the mansion.

Why Madonna was linked to Angelina Jolie's mansion?

The reports emerged after Madonna's representatives were quoted arranging a private and virtual tour of the mansion. The New York Post identified that the singer was enquiring about the property. Consequently, the virtual tour became the basis of the reports that Madonna bought the mansion. However, a virtual tour does not confirm that a person has made a purchase.

The difference is significant because Madonna had been linked to the property before it was sold. The existing information confirms that the singer was interested in the mansion, but there is no basis for suggesting that she bought the estate.

Angelina Jolie sold estate for $24.75 million

Jolie sold the LA mansion for $24.75 million on September 24, according to reports. The actor had listed the estate for $29.85 million in May. Jolie had purchased the property in 2017 for $24.5 million, as per property records cited by The Wall Street Journal.

Consequently, the sale price was $250,000 more than what Jolie paid for the estate in 2017, before taxes, maintenance, transaction costs or any expenditure on the property. Carswell stated that Jolie was happy that the sale had gone through after the property had remained on the market for a while.
