Why Barrymore bought the property?

Barrymore bought the property in 2024 as an alternative to the Hamptons. She wanted a place where she could spend sometime out of the city with her family without having to travel too far. It is less than an hour away by car from Manhattan. However, her earlier property in Sagaponack, Hamptons could take almost three hours.

Barrymore told Rue Magazine that she wanted somewhere outside the city after working in a windowless studio for years. Having grown up in California, she felt she needed to spend more time in nature.
