To file one's income tax return (ITR), Form 16A and interest certificates are important documents that one must keep handy. Form 16A is a TDS certificate containing details of the total tax deducted by the bank during the financial year on the interest paid/accrued on your fixed deposits. Similarly, interest certificates contain details of the total interest paid/accrued on different accounts such as fixed deposits, savings accounts, recurring deposits etc.

Do keep in mind that the TDS certificate will be paid to you, provided tax has been deducted by the bank during the financial year. If you are an ICICI Bank customer, here's how you can download your Form 16A and interest certificates for the financial year 2022-23 (assessment year 2023-24) without visiting a bank branch.
