No, banks will not open today on July 11, 2026, as it is the second Saturday of the month. All scheduled and non-scheduled banks observe public holidays on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month.

Banks remain open on the first, third and fifth Saturdays of the month, unless specified as a holiday in the RBI holiday calendar.

Digital banking services remain available even on bank holidays

Although bank branches remain closed, most banking services can still be accessed through digital channels. Customers of SBI, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Punjab National Bank, Bank of Baroda and other banks can continue using internet banking and mobile banking apps for routine transactions.

You can transfer money through UPI, IMPS, NEFT (as per settlement timings) and RTGS, pay utility bills, recharge mobile phones, open or renew fixed deposits (if the bank offers the facility online), check account balances, download statements and manage debit or credit cards through the bank's digital platforms.

However, services that require visiting a bank branch such as cheque clearance, cash deposits at the counter, demand draft issuance, locker operations or document verification will be available only on the next working day.
