EPFO portal: How you can log in to your account

To be able to log into your account on the Member Sewa portal, you should first register yourself. The registration process requires you to activate your UAN. Follow these steps to register and log in to your account on the EPFO portal.

The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation's (EPFO) Member e-Sewa website offers provident fund members various services online. Some of the services that you as an Employees' Provident Fund (EPF) member can avail on the website are: viewing and downloading EPF passbook, filing a claim for withdrawal of money for various purposes (meeting financial emergency due to novel coronavirus pandemic, repayment of home loan, monetary requirement for marriage etc.), transfer of EPF account, filing nomination etc.

In order to avail these services, you will have to register yourself on the EPFO's portal, after which you can login to the Member e-Sewa website.

  • Registering on EPFO portal
Follow these steps to register yourself on the EPFO Member e-Sewa portal:


Step 1: Go to Member e-Sewa portal: https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface/
Step 2: Click on 'Activate UAN'. UAN stands for Universal Account Number.

Step 3: A new webpage will appear on your system. You will be asked to enter any of the following details: PAN, member ID, Aadhaar or UAN. Other details that are mandatorily required to be entered are: Name, date of birth, mobile number (registered in EPFO records) and captcha code. All the details must be as per EPFO's records.

Step 4: Click on 'Get Authorization Pin'. A one-time password (OTP) will be sent on your mobile number. Further, a webpage will appear on your screen requesting you to verify the details entered by you.

Step 5: Enter the OTP in the designated area. Click on 'Validate OTP and activate UAN'.
How to avoid rejection of EPF withdrawal claim

So before filing your EPF withdrawal claim, thoroughly check your bank account details registered. Incorrect details will only delay the credit of funds. The same account must also be linked to the Universal Account Number (UAN).

Also make sure that the IFSC mentioned in the records is correct to avoid delay of credit. If you need to correct or update any details, these will have to be verified by your employer too. (a) UAN activated
(b) Aadhaar verified and linked with UAN

Once you have registered yourself on the EPFO portal by activating your UAN, follow the steps below to login to your account:
Step 1: Go to: https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface/
