Check EPF balance and download passbook on EPFO’s WhatsApp channel: EPF subscribers can now access these services through its WhatsApp channel

Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) members can now avail of selected provident fund services through its newly launched WhatsApp channel. In a social media post on X (formerly Twitter), the EPFO has highlighted services such as checking EPF balance, the last five transactions, and the facility to download the EPF passbook, which a subscriber can access through its WhatsApp channel.

Send 'Hi' to EPFO on its WhatsApp number +91 87964 41800. Alternatively, scan the QR code shown in the EPFO poster on X. After the welcome message, select your preferred language.

Through the EPFO’s WhatsApp service, members can check the EPF account balance. Earlier, subscribers would avail this service by sending an SMS.

You can also use the EPFO’s WhatsApp service to view your last five EPF transactions. This facility will help EPF members to view the last activity in their provident fund account.

On its WhatsApp channel, the EPFO even provides a facility to download the EPF passbook. The passbook will contain the details of the EPFO members' provident fund account and EPF transaction-related entries.
