HDFC Bank to upgrade credit card systems
The instant card generation will initially be available only for existing customers but is likely to be extended to non-customers later. The new system will allow the users to file disputes by clicking photographs of charge slips and uploading them.

A spokesperson for the bank said it will be upgrading to VisionPlus V10, the latest in global banking architecture. “This migration is an industry-first in India and will offer a superior user experience for credit card customers. It will enable the bank to be completely future-ready and enhance customer experience by offering faster resolution of credit card disputes. From about a week to less than a day and instant card creation, even during browsing on an e-commerce site,” the spokesperson said.
The instant card generation will initially be available only for existing customers but is likely to be extended to non-customers later. The bank will speed up dispute resolution by making the process straight through. The new system will allow the users to file disputes by clicking photographs of charge slips and uploading them.
In future, there will be value-added service through partnerships, as the bank will be providing faster API (application programmed interface) integration, allowing more third-party service providers to plug in to offer their services to HDFC Bank customers.
Cardholders who are travelling overseas will be able to apply for an immediate increase in their credit limits through the bank’s app.
