What is EPF
Employees contribute a specific amount of their pay to the EPF scheme. Similarly, your employer will contribute an equal amount to this as well. The Employee Provident Fund Organization then receives the combined sum (EPFO). On this sum deposited with EPFO, you also continue to accrue a certain rate of interest each year. The Employees Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has fixed the interest rate at 8.15% for financial year 2022-23.
