How much did manufacturing jobs earn vs others?

According to Monster Salary Index Report, 77.3% employees were satisfied with their jobs while only 48.4% said they were satisfied with their pay.

The highest wage earners were in the services, banking and insurance sectors, finds the Monster Salary Index Report.


Higher education provided a wage advantage

*Rs 116.9 was the median hourly wage of someone with a secondary education.

*Rs 206 was earned by a bachelor’s degree holder per hour.

*Rs 379.7 was the earning of a master’s degree holder.

Gender was a significant factor in determining wages

*Rs 345.8 per hour was the average wage of a male employee

*Rs 259.8 was the hourly pay for women employees

*25% was the gender pay gap level.
Employees were satisfied with their jobs, but not the pay

*77.3% employees were satisfied with their jobs
*48.4% said they were satisfied with their pay.

Size of company, in terms of number of employees, mattered

*Rs 191.5 per hour was the gross median pay in companies with less than 10 employees

*Rs 393 was the figure in companies with more than 5,000 employees
