BJP, SP and TRS are in office in the states of Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh and Telangana from where they won the respective constituencies.

The seat was vacated by K Chandrasekhar Rao after he became Chief Minister. Rao had won with a margin of 3.97 lakh votes, the May elections.

Bypolls were held in three Lok Sabha seats in Vadodara (Gujarat), Mainpuri (Uttar Pradesh) and Medak (Telangana) on September 13.
