Deora leaves behind his wife and his two sons, which includes former MP Milind Deora. His cremation would be done in the city on Monday.

"He leaves behind many memories of his amiable nature and organisational skills," the President said in a condolence message.

Deora, who held several important portfolios during his decades-long career, first contested the civic elections in Mumbai in 1975.
