Justice M Jaichandran and Justice R Mahadevan gave the direction while hearing a contempt petition against top officials.

The 42 members were nominated by the government through notifications on February 28,2014, on March 3, 2014 and November 11,2013.

The judges said that there was no ban on arguing cases in Tamil and sent the two cases back to single judge for hearing.
